Refund Policy – TaskMigo
1. Introduction
This Refund Policy forms part of the legal framework of TaskMigo and should be read together with our Terms and Conditions. It explains how cancellations, disputes, and refunds are handled on the Platform.
2. Payment Model
Payments for services are generally arranged directly between customers and service providers.
Payments may occur before or after the service, depending on the agreement between the customer and the service provider.
Where third-party payment processors are used, their policies may also apply.
3. Cancellations
Before service begins: Users may cancel a booking before the provider starts work.
If no payment has been made, no refund is necessary.
Providers may set their own cancellation rules, which will be displayed at the time of booking.
If a provider does not specify a cancellation policy, TaskMigo applies default guidelines: cancellation before service begins = no charge.
4. Refunds and Disputes
Because payments are typically arranged directly between users, “refunds” are understood as dispute resolution. Where available, payments may also be processed through third-party payment providers.
If a user is dissatisfied with a completed service, they must raise the issue directly with the provider.
TaskMigo is not a party to service agreements between customers and providers and does not make determinations regarding liability or fault.
TaskMigo may, at its discretion, facilitate communication between the parties in good faith to help reach a resolution but does not guarantee refunds or credits.
Providers are responsible for resolving disputes regarding service quality, damages, or delays.
Users are encouraged to raise disputes within a reasonable period after the service is completed.
5. Default Guidelines
If a provider does not specify a refund or dispute policy, TaskMigo may provide general guidance to support fair outcomes. However, final resolution remains the responsibility of the customer and the provider.
6. Legal Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or waives users’ rights under applicable Mexican consumer protection laws, including those enforced by the Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor (PROFECO).
